As part of a project, Growth in a Time of Change, examining how priorities for economic growth and development are being shaped and reshaped by forces of change, Brookings Institution recently posted an article titled Data and the Transformation of International Trade.
“Globalization has entered a new phase, led by the increasing digitalization of international trade,” writes Joshua P. Meltzer at Brookings Institution. “Data flows are the conveyer belt of this transformation. New avenues for trade, innovation, and productivity growth are being created, but there are also risks.”
